Dimitris Lambrou
Dimitris Lambrou was born in 1979 in Dasaki Achnas, in the Larnaca district of Cyprus, and grew up in a family with a strong hunting tradition, where hunting dogs were an inseparable part of everyday life.
From an early age, he was fascinated by the diversity of breeds and the way each dog, depending on its physical characteristics, could meet different needs and types of work. Through this experience, he came to understand the importance of breed standards and their role in preserving and improving dogs’ working abilities.
In 1992 he got his first dog, a female collie (known as Lassie), and in 1996 he came into contact with the American Staffordshire Terrier breed for the first time. In 1997 he acquired a descendant of the dog that had impressed him, marking the beginning of a deep and lasting relationship with the breed.
During the same period, he took his first steps in conformation shows, actively participating and following the judges’ assessments and results with particular interest, gaining valuable knowledge and experience.
He went on to breed dogs under the name A.F.G., with a primary focus on the American Staffordshire Terrier, prioritising the correct selection of breeding stock, quality, and the preservation of breed standards.
At the same time, from 2010 he came into contact with the Staffordshire Bull Terrier breed. After years of study and an in-depth understanding of its characteristics and standards, he officially began breeding it in 2020, with the same philosophy of quality and responsibility.

- 2 males and 12 females American Staffordshire Terrier
- 2 males and 6 females Staffordshire Bull Terrier
In 2013 he was a founding member of the Amstaff Club of Cyprus, in 2019 he was elected secretary, and in 2024 he took on the role of president, which he still holds today, actively contributing to the development and promotion of the breeds.
In 2015 he was recognised as a conformation judge, and continues to offer his knowledge and experience in the cynology community with consistency, responsibility, and passion.
